Cold Press Extraction Of Jojoba Oil
Cold Press Extraction is the preferred method used to extract jojoba oil. All required properties of the plant are retained in the plant in 100 percent purity. Unlike other oil extraction methods no external substance is used in the cold pressing process.
Crushing And Pressing
Jojoba seeds are first crushed and then pressed further, so that the purest jojoba oil is forced out. Right temperature is ensured so that oil in desired quality is cold pressed. By using air propulsion systems, the jojoba seeds are passed through a succession of spaces to get rid of impurities in the initial process. In the milling process, a heavy press is used to grind the seeds into a paste.
Next in the pressing process the ground paste is stirred slowly. This helps in separating the solids parts of the paste and the oil. The solid paste remains clumped together and using pressure, the oil is forced out. In the entire process, this is one of the most vital moments. Only the right amount of pressure is applied so that temperature of the paste does not unnecessarily increase. Otherwise some properties of the oil may be lost. Discarded matter is used as fertilizer or feed for animals and hence not wasted.
Decanting
After this, follows, the decanting process once the filtering process is completed. Sediment remaining is the oil is separated by the process of simple gravitational force. The oil obtained is 100% natural and pure with all its properties retained.
The Cold Pressed Process: How It Works
Cold pressing is also known as mechanical separation or expression. It is a process of mechanical extraction. Extraction of cold pressed oils was done by hand, historically. Specialized sponges were used to absorb liquid or oil from the plants. Then to squeeze out the oil, the sponges would be pressed over a container. The process of cold pressing nowadays involves less labor, in comparison. In some processes, a spike filled container is taken seeds are placed in and punctured slowly. Centrifugal force is also used in some cold press machines in modern day time which helps in separating the oil from the seed pulp. Essential jojoba oil is released in the spinning and puncturing process. The oil is then collected in its purest form, poured into sterilized bottles then stored or added to carrier oils or other products.
Best Suited Oil
Nutritional value, aroma and flavor of the oil is retained in the cold pressing method making the oil best suited to meet requirements of the skin and hair. Oil produced at ARAMACS is 100 percent undiluted, natural and cold pressed from good quality jojoba seeds.
Delivers Required Sheen
Just a few drops of the non greasy and light jojoba oil are needed to massage into the skin to make it younger looking, radiant, healthy, smooth and that too so naturally. It is an excellent tonic for mature skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Jojoba oil is absorbed by the skin easily. Be it the body, nails or dry cuticles, jojoba oil delivers required sheen to the body.
As a makeup remover, it proves to be an excellent carrier oil. The natural vitamin enriched jojoba oil nourishes and repairs brittle, frizzy and dry hair.
Good Absorption Capacity
Jojoba oil in its purest form is produced by the manufacturer. At no stage is the oil diluted in any way but contains the right composition and nutrients required to maintain healthy skin and hair. Low in density, the non greasy and lightweight oil has close resemblance to sebum. It is absorbed into the skin with ease, due to its unique nature.
Benefits Of Cold Pressed Jojoba Oil
Health impact of essential oils on humans is very powerful. Jojoba oil has a strong and effective impact on different parts of the body, virtually. Potency and integrity of jojoba oil is preserved when it is extracted in the cold pressing method. Health benefits of cold pressed jojoba oil are greater. Heat is not applied externally at all, in the ‘cold pressing’ method. If heat is applied then the tiny and delicate molecules present in jojoba oil break down and degrade thus minimizing its health benefits.
Whether Cold Press Extraction A Practical Option
The cold pressing process is followed for a number of citrus fruits to extract essential oils. However there is a lot of technicality and time involved, in the cold pressing method making this extraction method not always a practical one. The fact is that, it does not matter which method is used, it is important that no harmful additives or harsh chemicals are added in the process of bottling and storing. Better quality jojoba oil with greater benefits can be best obtained with the cold press extraction method.
Jojoba oil produced by cold press extraction by ARAMACS has the advantages of controlled heating, compact structure, high yield of oil and high pressure. Besides being clean and pure it is highly efficient in treating skin
